At least 48 grams recommended daily
A whole grain food is made by using all three parts of the grain. All General Mills Big G cereals contain more whole grain than any other single ingredient.
Look for the white check on the front of the box to know the cereal has whole grain listed as the first ingredient. Now, the more than 50 varieties of cereals with the white check, like Honey Nut Cheerios, Total Whole Grain and Cinnamon Toast Crunch have more whole grain than any other ingredient – with the same great taste.
Look for whole grain on the ingredient list on the side of the box. If whole grain is listed first, you’re getting more whole grain than any other single ingredient.
Look at the side label on boxes of cereal with the white check. The grams of whole grain per serving are highlighted on the side of the box so you know exactly how much whole grain you’re getting.
All cereals with the white check currently have at least 9 grams of whole grain per serving. The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend at least 48 grams daily.
